Embracing and participating in the celebrations of cultural holidays opens doors to new By acknowledging and respecting the diverse backgrounds and traditions that make up our team and communities, we cultivate an environment of inclusivity and acceptance. Recognizing the richness of various cultures allows us to break down stereotypes and dispel misconceptions, leading to a more harmonious and interconnected workplace. experiences and perspectives. It enables us to step into the shoes of others and learn about their values, history, and customs. By partaking in these celebrations, we acknowledge the importance of heritage and identity in shaping individuals and communities. In doing so, we strengthen the bonds that tie us together, creating a sense of belonging and unity. Ultimately, when we honor each other’s backgrounds and embrace cultural festivities, we lay the foundation for a compassionate and empathetic society, where diversity is cherished and understanding is the cornerstone of our interactions.
Here are a few of the events we celebrate at RXMG.

Black History

We celebrate the contributions of Black Americans all year round but focus on the history, impact, and cultural significance in February in honor of Black History Month.

Lunar New Year

Also called Spring Festival, one of the most significant East Asian holidays of the year!

Girl Talk

To support camaraderie among our fearless female team, we host quarterly ‘Girl Talk’ events to chat about their personal experiences in the workplace as women. The goal is to provide inspiration and support for one another on their professional journeys.

Hispanic Heritage

We highlight RXMG’s own team members who are of Mexican decent, and we asked them to share with us some aspects of their culture that contribute to their identity. Their Mexican heritage certainly attributes to the individuals they are today, and we’re so lucky to have them here enriching our teams with their perspectives.

Diwali

Diwali is one of the most significant festivals of the year and is about the triumph of good over evil – a message that rings true across cultures.

Nelson Mandela Day

We encourage our teams to volunteer in their communities and invite them to participate in celebrating this day by paying it forward by engaging in acts of service and kindness for our communities and those around us.

PRIDE

We welcome and encourage our team to ‘come as you are’ to learn and have fun celebrating the LGBTQI+ history in our country and across the globe.

Transgender Remembrance Day

We honor the memory of the people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. Despite the bigotry they experience, transgender people make significant contributions to our society. If you’re interested in learning more, you can watch HBO’s The Trans List to hear from some strong transgender advocates. For a look at the history of transgender people in America, read Transgender History by Susan Stryker or check out this documentary from PBS, Growing Up Trans, that explores how a new generation is navigating the changing and complicated world of gender and identity.

Jewish Heritage

We celebrate and honor the rich history, culture, and invaluable contributions of the Jewish community in America.
Jewish Heritage Month allows us to reflect on the enduring history of Jewish Americans—a history defined by resilience, facing challenges head-on, and triumphs in the face of adversity. It is a time to honor their journey and remember their profound impact on shaping the American landscape.

Disability Independence Day

Providing education & actions on the significance of this day and ongoing efforts for people with disabilities and their contributions to our society and challenges they face.

Human Rights Day

As we recognize International Human Rights Day, looking back on our progress, we see many gains. Some of these rights, however, were not granted equally to all.

In many cases, rights such as protection from political persecution and the right to vote, marry, own property, and work voluntarily were restricted based on gender, race, religion, ethnicity, culture, and/or age.

Even today, human rights that many of us take for granted are still limited or non-existent in some parts of the world. Just recently, there have been discussions on ensuring that AI does not reproduce unwanted inequities or embed new harmful biases and discrimination in this new era of algorithms involved in decision making and idea creation.

Black Cultural Impact

Learning about African American history allows us to have a deeper understanding and appreciation for the contributions of African Americans to the world we live in today. This is crucial for building an accepting, more cohesive, and inclusive community for tomorrow.

Asian American Heritage

We celebrate the rich culture, heritage, and contributions of the Asian and Pacific Islander communities in our nation.

Holocaust Remembrance Day

So often, history can be a teacher and a touchstone. Great tragedies can be great lessons to future generations. We were humbled to listen to the story of a survivor of one of humanity’s darkest moments.  We are the last generation that will get to listen to firsthand Survivor testimonies as many speakers are getting older.

Autism Awareness Day

We aim to raise awareness about autism, promote acceptance, and foster an understanding of autism spectrum disorders (ASD).  It is a day to celebrate neurodiversity, recognize the unique talents and strengths of these individuals, and continue raising awareness about the need for acceptance and inclusion in all aspects of life for individuals with autism.

Juneteenth

RXMG has observed this national holiday for years. We use knowledge, competition, and a little fun to come together and commemorate this important milestone in American history.

Veterans Day

We thank the millions of men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces since our nation’s founding in 1776.

“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace..” General Douglas MacArthur

Dussehra

We commemorate the victory of good over evil and the values of truth, righteousness, and compassion with the celebration of Dussehra, a Hindu festival in India, and its message of unity and harmony.

Dia De Los Muertos

We recognize this holiday and what it means for the Hispanic and LatinX community by acknowledging the importance of celebrating life and death and honoring our ancestors.

Building empathy through experience.

Volunteering, especially within our local communities, holds the power to create a lasting impact and positive change for those around us. Engaging in volunteer work allows us to actively contribute to the betterment of society.

When we volunteer locally, we become intimately connected to the needs and challenges of our community members, forging stronger bonds and a sense of collective responsibility. By devoting our time, skills, and resources to various causes, we sow the seeds of compassion and understanding, fostering an environment where empathy and kindness thrive. Our efforts may range from supporting education initiatives, offering aid to vulnerable populations, or promoting environmental sustainability. By investing in our local communities, we play a pivotal role in addressing social issues and empowering marginalized groups. As we actively engage in acts of service, we set an inspiring example for others, encouraging a ripple effect of positive change. Volunteering isn’t just a one-time act; it ignites a spirit of active citizenship, inspiring others to join in and work towards a brighter future. The small actions we take during our volunteer work, when multiplied across a community, create a profound impact beyond the confines of individual efforts, making our local neighborhoods more inclusive, resilient, and caring.

Uplifting Our Communities is a core value at RXMG. We encourage our team to consistently contribute to their communities in whatever way speaks to their heart and abilities.

Our Core Values

Our values are the pillars of how we do business and integral to our success. They serve as the guiding principles that shape our identity and drive our actions.

Our values provide a compass that influences our decision-making, culture, and interactions with our partners and clients. By establishing clear and meaningful core values, a business creates a strong sense of purpose and direction, aligning its team members towards a common goal. Moreover, they act as a source of authenticity, helping us to build trust and credibility both internally and externally. When these values are consistently upheld and integrated into every aspect of our business, they form the foundation for a positive reputation and a loyal customer base. We feel these specific values enhance our overall performance but they also foster a resilient and purpose-driven organization that can adapt and thrive in a competitive market.
